The authors of Cits: SkyLines 2 talked about plans for future updates and improvements

CITIES: SkyLines 2, continuing the popular economic strategy from the Colossal Order Studio, debuted yesterday on PC. The largest fans of the project who have to spend hundreds, or even thousands of hours in the new town -planner, are probably interested in plans for its development. Recently, it was possible to ask developers at least the question of the future of CITies: SkyLines II as part of the AMA session (ASK ME ANYTHING) organized by Colossal Order on Reddit.

Fans often asked about improving the optimization of the game, since the reviewers who managed to test the Cities: Skylines II before the release complained about this aspect.

  • As a first step, the developers will take up the improvement of the overall performance of the game and eliminate small errors. Although the so -called "first day" There will be no patch, the first update is expected in the near future, since the developers are already working on it.
  • In the future, developers would like to introduce support for NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR technologies, which will positively affect the performance of the game.
  • It is expected that the full support of mods and the card editor will be added "As soon as possible", However, the developers cannot say exactly when this will happen.
  • As for the support of CITIES: Skylines II on MAC computers – developers "have not forgotten about her, but do not plan yet".

Players also talked about what mechanics they would like to see in Cits: Skylines II. The developers responded to many such wishes, which gives hope that some of them will be added to the game.

  • The biggest question concerned bicycles. The developers admitted that they could not remain indifferent to them – the sale of this type of transport is very high in the list of priorities.
  • It is possible that the developers will add new animations to existing objects.
  • One of the fans mentioned trams who walk along herbal rails in the city (green track). The developers want to add more greenery, so we can see in the game and this type of transport.
  • Designer Cits: Skylines II would like to have the possibility of expanded editing parks in the game. However, he emphasized that the addition of this mechanics will require great effort.
  • The developers will consider the possibility of implementing a new type of railway tracks that will be over the city (overpass).
  • Perhaps the game will be added to the game, or the so-called dead ends (Cul-de-Sacs)-fans are interested in this.
  • Unfortunately, the developers admitted that they do not plan to add a first -person view to the game, allowing to observe the eyes of passers -by.

Judging by the results of the Ama session, the Colossal Order studio may release the so-called "road map", in which plans for future updates will be described in detail. In the meantime, we will have to be content with separate answers of the developers and the table, which tells about the additions that will appear in CITies: SkyLines II as part of the Expansion Pass (see. below).

  • The fourth quarter of 2023 – a collection of resources of Beach Properties and radio station.
  • The first quarter of 2024 is a radio station and two sets of third -party content content: Urban Promenades and Modern Architecture.
  • The second quarter of 2024 – Expansion "Bridges and ports" and radio station.

Despite the fact that the Ama session is over, nothing prevents you from sending your reviews to the CITIES: Skylines II developers, for example, on official Discord games. The developers said that they are very attentive to reviews – including negative ones, which "show that people are not indifferent to the game". In addition, in the near future a page will be opened on which players will be able to report various mistakes that they encountered during the game.
