Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – The highest Ubisoft game in 10 years
From yesterday, players can try the demo version of the metroide of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, and game journalists gave their grades. As it turned out, the new part of the Prince of Persia series has become a game from Ubisoft with the highest rating since 2013.
Ubisoft cannot yet confirm that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has been financially, because the game will debut in the market only next week, but it received really good reviews, and in this regard, the French corporation can proudly look at the results.
User Kh/Twitter UV (@nordbundet) tracked the exact results of the last Ubisoft games, and each major premiere received grades worse. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown achieved the best results than, among others, South Park: The Stick of Truth (85) and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (85), and only Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (88) was the best results.
In the case of the Prince of Persia universe itself, the situation has been no different, because for more than 20 years, Ubisoft developers have not offered the best game in this franchise – although at the moment it should be reminded that the brand has been frozen for several years.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown currently has Metascore (average reviews on reviews) 86 points. The last major Ubisoft game, which showed the best result on Metacritic, is Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. She scored 88 points. The project made their debut on October 29, 2013, that is, more than 10 years ago.
During this time, only one game managed to score 86 points: Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (2022). Several titles were very close:
– South Park: The Stick of Truth (85)
– Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (85)
– Far Cry 4 (85)
– Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey (83)
– Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 (82)
– Watch Dogs 2 (82)
I only checked games released for large platforms, games for smartphones were not taken into account.
The Lost Crown is also the highest part of the Prince of Persia series on Metacritic since The Sands of Time, that is, for more than 20 years. Warrior Within (83) and The Two Thrones (85) were close, but The Sands of Time was clearly higher (92).
