Insomniac cut out part of the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 content after Sony criticized the quality of the game
Spider-Man 2 game was well met by players and critics. Thanks to excellent reviews and record sales on the first day, it cannot be denied that the game is very successful.
However, this success was given to Insomniac. In a new interview, creative director Brian Intigar spoke about the participation of Sony in the work on the game, indicating at the time when the game giant asked to redo the content due to quality problems.
Remembering one of the moments of the development of Spider-Man 2, Brian Intigar spoke about the hot discussion with Sony after fears were expressed about the quality of the game. While InSomniac realized its vision of the plot with the participation of Venom, Sony intervened and asked the command to make changes after I realized that the traditional level of quality expected from the exclusives of PlayStation was not observed.
Perhaps the reason for this was poor management and lack of time, because Insomniac released its last game two years before the debut Spider-Man 2. Brian Intihar confirmed that Insomniac cut out entire parts of the game to rearrange the content.
Not so long ago, Tony Todd said that most of the replicas recorded by him for Venom did not fall into the final version of the game. If you add two and two, then Insomniac, most likely, cut out of the game most of the history of Venom.
Fans also picked up this, criticizing the last part of the game due to a hasty pace and unsatisfactory interchange. This could be the result of changes made at later stages of development, which led to the worst ending than INSOMNIAC planned.
Many fans now hope for a more ambitious continuation of the game, although few doubts that Insomniac has achieved many impressive successes in this game, including almost instant fast movement on the PS5 console.
Fortunately, the content carved by Insomniac Content may not disappear in vain. These parts, most likely, will enter the spin-off about Venom, the existence of which was confirmed in the recently leaked road map.
