This time we’ll talk only about gameplay. As many times have been declared on our part – we make a game, not a full textbook, so the game needed to implement a smooth transition between the training and entertainment part.
In CCD 2.0. Such a transition is specialized tasks, which during the development within the team are called "Testing – ingress". In the diary we will tell: what is it, what we were inspired by when they create them, and why do they exist.
At the stage of the concept of mechanics, we were going to realize what we had already done in CCD1: Create a set of tasks of various difficulties at the autrodrome. The implementation of tasks as mechanics began with the emphasis on the car. After a few attempts, it became clear that the city with a detailed environment and roads allows you to build an interactive training system.
This motivated the search for solutions with the main issue: "How to combine tasks from training in safe driving and the city, so that it is interesting, and at the same time a person could learn?". From this question and concept "random events" In other games with the open world, appeared "Testing".
Now during the game you can find unusual places or events that are distinguished from the usual behavior of pedestrians and cars. In most cases, these events or places run the task when you approach. Unlike exercises at the autrod, you will need to find all the tasks yourself. Sometimes it may not be at all easy.
Each of the tasks differs in the set of conditions that check your skills.
The number of conditions also include the required transport – some tasks simply will not appear if you do not, for example, at the van.
For example, in one of the tasks you will need to pararry a car in a limited space where pedestrians or passing transport are an obstacle. In another task, you will need to give a person to a busy highway at high speed with strong timer restrictions.
There is a place for funny situations – in the location where the road goes uphill, you will need to put the box on the roof of your car and not allow it to fall. From the perspective of training, this task checks your skills: the ability to regulate the speed at the entrance to the mountain and control of the object on the roof.
The most convenient analogy for "Testing" will be "Random events" From other games with the open world. It was them that our team was inspired when creating this element of the gameplay.
Tasks are in different places of the game world, so we just use the reason to show you the Smile parking place, it is in this parking lot that one of the tasks will be held.
All the tasks that you will find in the open world are an alternative to the conditions and tasks that were in mode "Careers" CCD1. We believe that the relationship of interesting location and assignments is more interesting than unusual exercises at the Avtodrome.
Tests implemented in the format of the study of the world of the game and presented as optional activity are that, in our opinion, it helps to build an interesting gaming process in which the idea of training is laid down. Therefore, for each completed task you will put an assessment made in the same format as on the Avtodrome.
Regardless of where it begins "Testing", During their passage, you will also get acquainted with important places of the city and learn its history.
Mostly, even on the central streets – the city consists of narrow driveways, roads and intersections. A similar type of structure of the city provides a unique game experience and allows you to maintain the integrity of the main idea of the City Car Driving series. Creating each of the tasks, the main thing for us is to withstand the balance. If you try to describe this concept, then it will sound as follows: realistic, interesting interactive training in safe driving.
We do not adhere to the approach "Avvanpostov" or "questions on the map", This is inappropriate in the car sympulant. But we want to give unique experience not only in terms of traffic rules. "Testing" – This is not a mandatory, but very important element of the game, which makes a smooth transition from training to entertainment through gameplay. As a team of developers, we want you to get acquainted with the game yourself and do only what you yourself will consider interesting.

- Why does the graphics look cartoon?
The screenshots used in the development diaries are taken directly from the engine at the time of writing a new diary, without a render and color correction, on all screenshots of the schedule is not final and is constantly finalized.
- Why are the streets so clean and perfect?
